Use Variables

Use variables to customize your emails and make it look more personal. The following are pre-set variables in the system:

First name -> fname
Last name -> lname
Email Address -> email
Address -> address
City -> city
State -> state
Zip Code -> zip
Country -> country

To insert a variable, just use this syntax "%{variable}" (without quotes). Here's a sample format:

From: JavaDomain.com
To: %{fname} %{lname} %{email}
Subject: How to use Variables

Body:

Hi %{fname},

Please confirm if the following information are correct:

Full Name: %{fname} %{lname}
Address: %{address} %
{city} %{state} %{zip}

Thank you,
JavaDomain.com Team

Email looks like this on the recipient's screen:

From: 101Email Pro
To: John Doe
Subject: How to use variables

Body:

Please confirm if the following information are correct:

Full Name: John Doe

Address:

Use optional variables

How to use optional variables are just the same as pre-set ones. The only difference is that you specify the value or meaning. There are 10 optional variables (a1-a10).

How to add mailing list with optional variables

  1. Click on the Mailing list tab then click Add List link.
  2. Type the desired name of the mailing list.
  3. Set the values for each optional variables that you want, then click Add.
  4. Click Add Entry. Notice that those variables that you have added is already included in the text fields aside from first name, last name etc.
  5. Enter all the data needed,
  6. Click Add button.
  7. If you want to add more, just fill up the fields again and click Add else click on Finished.

*To add data with the extra variables in a comma delimited file, simply include the entry in your file. It should have this format:

fname, lname, email, 0, address, city, state, zip, country, a1, a2, a3 and so on.
